Today we started to make our webpages bomb. I was able to add seperate pages to pictures and wednesday challenges. I'm so excited to learn more tags to customize my webpage.

Today we had a wednesday challenge on how to measure weights on a scale. The scale is a typical triple-beam balance with various weights. It's actually very simple: first you equalize the scale to line on the eq point. Then, you place whatever you are weighing on the wide end of the sacle. Next, attach the bottom plate weights until it tips over to the bottom. Then use one less weight. After, use the beams to add weights. Over time you should have an exact measure of the weight.

Today we worked on notebooks. We updated our webpages and I have a god feeelinig about mine. I really enjoy the crossaunt background on my webpage.

Today we watched a movie: changing the face of Mars. Aside form the movie I had already watched a previous video about terraforming Mars. The video explains that there is a lot of Fe2O3 on Mars, or rust. If we electrolyze the Iron (III) oxide then oxygen would reach the atmosphere. Also, there are CO2 pores insode of Mars' surface. If those CO2 pores are activated then Greenhouse gasses can maintain the tempertaure of Mars to compensate Mars' distance from the sun. The added gasses from the hydrolysis of rust may also help with the terraforming of Mars.

TOday we worked on a google sketchup. It was really a challenge considering how specific it was. I also think that making the three-D model is good so that we can see how to orient our robot.

Today we had a wednesday challenge to throw tubes in a circle. We had various strategies as to the third stage of the challenge like rotating every other member 180 degress. However we found it siple to just throw high in the air making it hae enough time to throw and catch.

Today is a work day; I actually went live which is really cool. But, writing the wednesday challeng makes me consider the right qualities of a leader. A leader has to have all of the fundemental virtues, honesty, integrity, charisma and so on. But, I think there are some signs as to a true leader. Number one, a leader has to have respect and command authority. A leader is one that can empower others, and to do so they need to have the ability ot guide and convince individuals as to what work they have to do. Next, a leader has to be someone iconinc and well known. No one will rally behind an indiviidual who they don't think has credibility to lead. Additionally, a leader has to be able to facilitate new ideas and have a loving and loyal following. There are meny typed of leaders the manager, dicator, passive, but this conversation I think will fuel me to be the best leader there is.

Today we worked on getting people live. We finnished the movie about going to mars. I had a psychology test today but i think I did well on it.

Today we worked on google sketch up. We had to sketch up a clock and use the rotate tools to change the time on the clock. I was actually able to use the rotate tool in the first semester which made this sketch up even easier to do. I also think that the more tools we learn to use in sketch up the better and more detailed our sketchups will be.

Today Ryan and I spent a great deal of time bonding. As you will see if you go into the picture section, Ryan has such a beautiful face I needed everyone to see it again. I zoomed in to his face (with consent) and posted it on the webpage.

Today we had a wednesday challenge to create a tiny toy to pass out during cometition. We wanted to make a toy that either shot soemthing or was fun to play with. We went with a collapsing giraffe idea to break something and pull a string to rebuild it.

Today we presented our wednesday challenges. We decided on the collaping giraffe idea. It was simpler to use, but there were some really cool presentations. I really wenjoyed listtening to the clapping idea and cole's trashcan idea.

Today we watched a video on the project SMAP, which Mr. Neat's wife helped create by making the rotating part. I thought It would be really cool to sending the probe into space so that we can measure water demand and supply in the world.

Today we worked on a sketch up of a wheel of skateboard. It was prety cool becasue I was able to apply the tools in a creative way I was really surprised how cool it was, to draw the wheel with the follwo me tool.

Today I was sick so I basically stayed home. I thought I had Sinusitis, which is the inflamation of the sinuses. Now even if that was true I could literally do nothing about it except take very drug I had to combat the symptoms.

Today I was sick also I stayed home and even though I felt better than before I still had which at the time was a cough, post nasal drip which is basically boogers going down my neck when I sleep. It kina sucked but I was able to do whatever homework I had to. I started playing Destiny more it's pretty fun when you play the co-op multiplayer, which I have never done before, I think that will be my motivation for leisure time on the weekend.

Today we saw some cool websites that did well on the scoring day. I really like David's website personally, because of all of the different colors, I guess I'm a child like that. I talked to Mr. Neat about my absence and I found out that I wont get a report but I'm totally ok with it becasue it would have been a deflated score. I feel a lot better and we worked on making a sketch up of a steel pipe thats rectangular in shape.

Today we had a wednesday challenge to manufacture a moer efficient way of making a tote. We decided to work on how to make a cast for our toy. We reseacrched how to make a cast and making a metal protoype to me casted. After using the metal we can pour acrylic into the mold.

Today we worked on a car to make for our long term project. I started sketch up-ing the car. I already know how to make the car. Also we had a disaster drill but we had the best spot ever. When the bell ran we booked it out of the field it was so muche better than having to wait for everbody. Mr. Neat and I talked about getting a PhD. He encouraged me to pursue one and although I am somewhat reluctant to school even more, he meationed that the few years of getting the PhD were very fun and he was able to accumulate money. That very much convinced me to at least consider getting a PhD.

Today we talked about fixing our websites. We worked on our laptops. But, I have even better news, I got a 2200 on the SAT! After all of those practice tests and the pSAT I am DONE! It feels so good to have one less thing to worry about. I was considering what colleges to go to with that score, and I was very happy to see that UCLA had a lower 75 percentile than 2200. I now have to consider what colleges to go to...

Today we worked on a sketchup for the toy we would make. I worked more on my invention. I put it off for a while but I want to get back into inventing. I thought that a better way to attach the invention would be by the endge of a desk. This way it would take up less psace and can lean against a wall. I also am interested in implementing a rotating function in order to attach it to the side. I also am thinking to ue it as a kind of outlet option in order to attach a portable laptop or iPad to charge while also having it ready to use. I think a wider design is needed but not 2x as big maybe 1.3x in order to attach a larger laptop. With that being said I also want towork on getting a cooling system in place to keep it cool.

Today we were given a wednesday challeng to ship a chip via US mail. We connot crack the chip or we lose points. I think our design is the best because it uses the design of the pringles box, with the added comfort of cotton. However the potato chip smelled like rotten cardboard and I think there can be prospects for interrogation with the chip.

Today I worked on my car design. I was able to ramp a few runs that were very successful. Unfortunately, there were a few issues that I had with the consistency with the design. I decided to file down some parts of the wheels to minimize the effect of the inconsistent wheel shape. I think that I have to test a few more runs to confirm that the wheels were the source of error.

Today we worked on our websites. I plan on taking up Mr. Neat's offer of going to the soddering team. With the tme left i plan on finalizing my car and I plan on updating my webite. I always think being busy is better than having nothing left to do. I hae a really busy weekend ahead of me, but I can't wait to get all of this work done.

Today we had a sketchup as to our car models. I actually used the time to work on my invention sketchup. I'm still testing out my car's stability and ability to keep straight. I noticed that the wheels turn at an angle when it veers off of course. I think that I'm going to try to bind another strip to keep the shape of the chasee stable in order to keep the wheels stable. I may also consider thickening the wheels in order to keep the wheels at a ninety degree angle to the ground.

Today we worked on our car projects. I worked on adding extra wheels to stabalize the car. I think that it stabalized but i now need to equalize the weight.

Today we worked on our packaging for our potato chip challenge. We made a box filled with cotton ballz. We used so much it was pretty fluffy. I think our predicted score would be a 100.

Today we had choices. I'm going to work on my website because I would like to avoid the traffic jam tomorrow. I need to work on my car as well because the wheels are still wobbling. I have a meeting today with other GUSD schools to finalize our design for our T-shirt. I spent all night trying to make the design because nobody else wanted to draw a phoenix. The T-shirt is for the Armenian genocide commemoration event the district is hosting at GHS this April 21st. I'm optimistic but I have to give a presentation to sell my design.

Today we worked on our cars and our webpages. I have finalized my design and it works fairly well. It goes straight the majority of the time. Hopefully, my test run that will be graded wont be an outlier in the consistency measure. Tonight I have an Armenian Club dinner dance, and since I'm the president, I gotta give a speech. I'm glad that they are going out into the world and soon I will join them!

Today we worked on a sketchup to resize the tote. I worked in the back as quality control. I tried to see which lights work with cole and Jacob.

Today I worked on trying to isolate the issue with the totes. We recieved a tote to disect. We noticed that the totes were not as hard as we thought and actualy were fairly squishy. This made us question how the ote might have changes the conformation of the wires connected to the battery.

Today we had another wednesday challenge as to the how to repair the battery attachment to the tote. I worked in the back and helped work with the totes in quesition. I helped look at more circuts in order to asses more viable circuts for use.

Today we raced our cars which got me thinking about a tie situation. I think that statistically, my car should do fine but I am still worried about any outliers that may occur in my runs. I also think that matt made a great and effective car. I think my car did well too but if he wins I can't stay mad at him.

Today we worked on our websites. In my persnal life I downloaded a new game 1010 its like tetris but without the time restraint and without the gravity. I also can't wait for the weekend because I want to get some well deserved shut eye.

Today we got our websites checked and therefore updated some stuff. I am going to work on a skateboard and my invention. I told Mr. Neat that I can use the GPS suction cup to keep the ipad in place.

Today I worked on disceting totes. I was able to fix one dysfunctional tote. I think that a comprehensive analysis of a broken tote needs to be done in order to prevent any other totes from following the same path.

Today we saw how our potato chip did. We did well but our box was too large and got a .0097 as our score. If only we were able to know the formula... I also worked on more tote recovery and was able to isolate a tote where the issue wasn't the battery. I think this is a breakthrough and that persuing a more comprehensive analysis is integral to the understanding and fixing of the totes. We also had a wednesday challenge to cut a perfectly square piece of cardboard.

Today we woerked on our websites. I did a lot of work but to be honest I can't wait for spring break!! I just wish it came sooner...

Today we worked on our websites and watched mythbusters. I can't wait till break, my family is consifering making a greenhouse to hold all sorts of exotic plants and other plants that the local wildlife wont eat.

Over spring break I did a bunch of homework. I had in total: 84 FRQs 8 pages of grid ins 3 practice essays, 10 days of outlining, and a practice AP exam. Needless to say any free time I had I used to relax as much as possible. I wanted to relax more but i learned that work is what I need when I have a free week. In fact that Homework wasn't enough, I wish that there was enough homework for each day to fill up, or if not than ativities to do. Being board is the worst thing ever so keeping busy is what i know. I also want to make my life more productive by doing more things and getting more and more busy.

Today is wednesday and wee got another wednesday challenge. We have to design the best way to organize the board in order to maximize the area being used by the long board. We said that the best way to do it would be to make a simple design to maximize the area used but to also compensate for any errors in calculation to make a design that is perfectly 10 inches at width at the cost of a slight change in length for the last board that could be made with the scrap pieces.

Today is like a work day. But, I have a chmeistry club meeting today so i have to prep some pennies to turn into gold ones. I have to be careful but if done properly, we could have a very nice reaction. we also have tubes of indicator solutions to change color as we add dry ice. I think this meeting would be a great one!

Today is a work day and I also worked on my sketch up for the skate board. We also watched mythbusters which was nice.

Today we worked on random stuff. I had completed my skateboard design and presented it to Dr. Neat. I'm really interested in making my skateboard!

Today we worked on our cars. I worked on my skateboard, which I subsiquently printed out. I think I will guide others through the process of printing at least. Mr. Neat brought to my attention that I should add a height to the wheels in order to perevent the board from hitting the ground.

Today we had a wednesday challenge. I was somewhat dissapointed that i couldnt work on my sateboard, but the challenge was very fun! Planning for each other's objectives was very fun especially since there were multiple extra pieces to trick us.

Today we worked on continuing our cars and other stuff. I cut out my printed skateboard and pasted each part to each other with tape. I wanted it to be redy for open house to present to my dad who over time has developed a type of habituation to my successes. For each teacher he would say to me, "oh the same thing" or at the vary least gives the impression that that is what he was thinking. But, I still know that he loves the attention... I love him to death.

Today we worked on our websites which i am surprisingly seeding through. I have to fill out annother wednesday challenge form. I really can't wait for the weekend.

Box car race I got a score of 179 on the box car race. I have high hopes for this competition. I also can't wait to make my skateboard out of cardboard. But, it seems that I have to take a break from my endeavor and do the lego challenge. I really wanted to make the skateboard.

Toda we continued our challenge. I'm kind of taking the lead on this even though it is a very frustrating competition. we worked on the door by making a hockey stick to use. We used the stick to knock down the lever.

Today we worked on legos also. We turned the rotation thing also. It did take a few tries but we did it!

Today we worked on getting the loop back to base. We also aimed to ge thte other loops but one at a time. I think we can get a fairly decent score but we need more time.

Today we worked on our websites. I just want to finish the lego challenge to get back to skateboards. I really want to finish that asap so that I can make my own skateboard. Today was also the falcon award day assembly thing and I have noticed a few things that I would like to see changed in the future years. All of the semi and finalists had the either character or academic qualifications. In no was does this infringe upon anyone's merit as a contestant, finalist or winner. It just seeems that as each presentation goes on the winners lose their personality as just hours or acts or gpa points or whatever. I personally know some of the contestants so I know that they are much more than what they may be presented as. In fact to many, getting the falcon award seems to negatively influence others' efforts to try in school by having too much of a standard to go to. So if I were to give a speech, I would inspire the audience by explaining the failures as well as the accomplishments to put the people who are recieveing the award some more credit. Being awesome is great but changing ones behaviour from poor to awesome is exponentially better.

Today is block schedule and we are probably going o work on or lego thing. I am really excited to see the results for the final round of cars unless the one posted was the final. I also really want to work on my skateboard but I donno if that is the plan for today.

Today we worked more on our stuff. I continued my progress on my skateboard. I think today is the day I worked on the next step of my skateboard which was to cut out the board from the "plywood" that I made.

Today was the next step in the manufacturing process of the skateboard. I worked on the location of the trucks on my board. It was a bit difficult juggling between my own progress and helping others but I think it was accomplishing.

Today is one day before the Armenian Genocide commemoration day. We at CV are commemorating this day by holding a silent protest by taping our mouth's with blood red tape. I appreciate all of my fellow students that participated in the event.

Today was the next step in manufacturing my skateboard. I attached the trucks to the bottom of the skateboard and watched it go straight down the ramp. I think I'm ready to make the wooden board now. but I have to make the bottom of the board design before. 4/29/15

Today I wanted to work on my skateboard but we had a Wednesday challenge. We have to make the tallest structure using one by one inches pieces of cardboard. My design was used in the construction of the tower. WE are going to make a pyramid structure so I think we are going to eat a lot of carrots.

Today was the manufacturing process of our structure it went fairly well but if we had more time we could perfect the design even more.
